National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indegenous Women and Girls
The Government of Canada launched an independent national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is independent from the federal government. The inquiry will establish its own office and website. Contact information for the inquiry will be posted as soon as it is available. When it is available, please contact the inquiry directly to learn how to participate in or work for the inquiry.
NWAC Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
The Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) is founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote, and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of First Nations and Métis women within First Nation, Métis and Canadian societies. NWAC is an aggregate of thirteen Native women's organizations from across Canada and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1974. Maintains a news section on MMIWG.
