- Includes the ability to move from a process of summarizing what you read to the ability to synthesis what you read. This process involves good documentation, properly formatted citations, summarization, and identification of the theoretical framework and methodology.
- Includes the ability to understand the ethics behind using proper citation methods and an ability to apply those methods in your writing. Practicing academic integrity!
- Includes the ability to conduct a literature review in order to synthesize the contextual ecology from which your own research arises. This process is similar to telling a story and involves an unraveling of the people, places, dates and ideas that that form the story that you’ll build upon.
