Emily Carr is very proud of a series of donations made to the University by Dr. Yosef Wosk. Over 500 prints and drawing have been digitized and can be viewed in the Emily Carr eCollections.
The collection is largely prints, but Dr. Wosk has also donated original artwork and books by artists to the Wosk Masterwork Teaching Collection. The collection contains works by Cézanne, Rembrandt , Renoir, Riopelle, Cocteau, Chagal, Picasso, Manet, Miro, Warhol, Goya, Rauschenberg and many other artists. The total number of images is well over four hundred works and includes several books by renowned artists. It is Dr. Wosk's hope that others will be moved to contribute works that will add both depth and instructional value to the collection.
The full Wosk Print Collection can be found online here.
What Kind of Print Is That? is a handy online tool developed by faculty members Beth Howe and Giulia Borba that will help you identify what technique was used to make the prints you are looking at in the Wosk Collection.
