Welcome to the Interaction Design Guide

Hi! Welcome to our resource list for Interaction Design (IxD/UX) at Emily Carr. For each category, we’ve picked a couple of key resources you can start with, as well as further reading and links to lots more. A quick note on our field: you will see the terms “Interaction Design” “IxD” “User Experience Design” and “UX” used pretty interchangeably in some of these resources. A good way to remember the difference is that the overall umbrella term in most university programs is “Interaction Design” and UX is a subset referring to design research. In most professional certificate programs and workplace usage, “User Experience Design” is the umbrella term.
