The Writing Centre

The Emily Carr Writing Centre is a free resource, open to all of the ECUAD community and here to help you with all of your writing needs. Book a peer tutor appointment to work on any written assignments (and writing in general!) We are happy to help at any stage of the process, from brainstorming ideas to final draft revisions. Just provide your assignment outline and we can work with you.
Here are four things you need to know:
1. What kind of appointments we offer
Online appointment: Meeting with a tutor online in our scheduling site software and work on your writing in real time. Starts Tuesday, September 8th.
Written Feedback appointment: A flexible method for those who cannot find an appointment time due to time zone differences. Upload your writing to the scheduling site and receive written feedback 24 hours later. Starts Tuesday, September 8th.
Drop-ins: Another flexible way to meet with a tutor. Pop into our video chat meeting room during these time slots and add your name to the list to meet with the drop-in tutor for 20 minutes. Starts Monday, September 21st.
2. Where do I book an appointment?
https://ecuad.mywconline.com. It’s easy to log in — just use your ECUAD webmail credentials!
3. Oh, and we will have other fun writing meet-ups
Creative writers might be interested in our Wordsmiths of Emily Carr club, which meets weekly on Thursdays from 4 - 5:30PM!  The first session will start on Thursday, Sept. 21st.
Please stay tuned as we are hatching some new weekly groups, such as a study group!
4. Stay in touch on social media for updates
