Those of you that keep up with us on Instagram have already seen these reading lists on our account. Now, here is the list of all the books included.

Our Instagram is @ecuad_artists_books and we post all kinds of cool stuff!

Ed Ruscha:

Ed Ruscha is easily one of the artists who helped artists' books get more widely recognized. His early self-published books such as the Twenty-six Gasoline Stations and Some Los Angeles Apartments are some of the most popular artists' books, and many of artists have used them as a source of inspiration. Stan Douglas' Every Building On 100 West Hastings is inspired by Ruschas' Every building on the sunset strip.

Taryn Simon:

Similarly to Calle, Taryn Simon works with photography and text. A big part of her work is extensive research and topics of categorizing. Although her publications vary in sizes, each one of them is pretty heavy and large and gives you a background in the research that's been done.
