Resources on Professional Practice

In this guide, you will find resources related to professional practice in art and design. Navigate to library resources using the tabs on the left for more detailed information on the following topics:

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning (LiL) is available for all Emily Carr University students and employees.

"LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos. With more than 5,000 courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests." - LinkedIn Learning website

Accessing LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is provided through the Library. Follow this link, or find it listed on our databases page

Access is obtained via the ECU Microsoft 365 2-Factor Authentication method, using your Emily Carr email username and password.

Single sign on for ECU community members. Sign in with your username with "@ecuad.ca" added

When you first login to the new LiL you will be prompted to create a LinkedIn account or connect to a preexisting LinkedIn account. You are not required to have, or create, a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning.

You may also be prompted to create a LiL account; the LiL account should only ask you for some learning preferences and will not ask you for any personal information.
