Student Feedback

2019 Student Survey Results

In the spring of 2019, we performed the first student survey that had been done since moving to the new campus. We had an amazing 354 responses to our survey, which were incredibly valuable for our group to be able to make decisions about how to improve the student experience, and what to prioritize going forward.

Following the survey closing, we took the summer to look at all the data and see what we could do in response. The next stage of the project involved publicly posting the results, and then including our staff feedback, responses, and noting changes that we made. This was done via a physical display as well as publicized on social media. Library users were also welcomed to add additional feedback to the display wall.

As type of physical display is difficult to replicate after the fact, we are sharing the following PDF that includes the posted infographics as well all our responses. Look for the little yellow stars throughout the document to view our staff comments! The infographics themselves are also available to scroll through at the bottom of this page.

Resulting Changes

  • Events moved off Mezzanine level to avoid sound echoing to the quiet study spaces
  • Additional signage put up in quiet study spaces
  • Signage put up in study rooms explaining how to dim/brighten the lighting
  • Encouragement to complete our transition to a Fine-Free environment
