Board Games

All the items from the Board Games collection are available for 7-day loans, with two renewals possible (as long as nobody else is waiting for them). You can find them in the Games & Stuff area on our upper level, across from the Graphic Novels. Board games must be returned with all pieces properly organized in the box - if you notice missing pieces please inform Library staff immediately.

If you are playing a board game in the Library, please return all the pieces to the box and put it back in its original location. We do encourage you to check games out even for in-Library use, as that way we can collect information on the most popular items!

Scrabble : Crossword Game

Players form interlocking words, crossword fashion, on the board using letter tiles of different values. Each player competes for high score by taking advantage of the letter tiles, as well as the premium squares on the board.
Bananagrams
Publication Date: 2006

A Scrabble-like game in which one to eight players form individual crossword puzzles with words that can change as players continue to draw tiles throughout the game. When there are no more tiles to draw, first player to use all their letters wins.
Mahjong
A 4-player, tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Many regional and cultural variations exist, but in most, each player begins by receiving 13 tiles. In turn, players draw and discard tiles until they complete a legal hand using their 14th drawn tile. Tiles are contained in a carrying case.

UNO : Card Game
Collect and play cards, including the classic Action/Wild cards of Skip a Turn, Reverse, Wild, Pick up Two, and Pick up Four.
