The ECU Library circulates a large variety of non-book items. Some are meant to promote joy, togetherness, and wellbeing, and others exist to make your life on campus a little bit easier. Many of these items can be found on our Upper Level near the Graphic Novels collection, with a select few tech-based things being found at our Service Desk.
Board Games - Over 100 games available to play! We own a large variety of games from various categories and genres. Some are ideal for a short lunchtime sessions, others will need a full afternoon.
Neurotools - Featuring tools that can support anyone, but that are built with special consideration for neurodiverse folks. Put together with consultation with the ECU Disability & Neuro-Divergent Collective.
Sports Equipment - Various pieces of outdoor sports equipment, as well as tools to support bike maintenance and repair.
General Life - Things like umbrellas, picture tubes, and mending kits ready to help to support daily life.
Chargers & Tech - At the Service Desk, we have chargers for phones, but they aren't typically strong enough for laptops. We also provide headphones, USB sticks, as well as card readers.
Plinths & Props - We offer a variety of plinths and other display props. These items circulate on a first-come, first-served basis.
All 7-day loan items have two renewals available, as long as nobody else is waiting to use them. If you are using our non-book items in the Library, please return them to their original locations. We do encourage you to check items out even for in-Library use, as that way we can track statistics for our most popular things!
